Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 31, 2026
1. Who We Are and What This Covers
MarketEye, LLC (“MarketEye,” “we,” or “us”) operates marketeye.io and the MarketEye Society membership community. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
This policy covers our website and our membership community. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, or the separate privacy practices of the platform that hosts our community, which has its own policy.
This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and our Community Agreement.
Our services are offered only to residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old. We do not offer or direct our services to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and we do not knowingly accept members from those regions.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Information you give us
- When you register: your first name, last name, and email address.
- When you accept our terms: a record of your acceptance, consisting of the date and time you accepted, the version of the terms you accepted and the web address of that version, the IP address and browser information from which you accepted, and the name and email address you provided.
- When you purchase a paid membership: billing information necessary to process your payment. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- When you participate in the community: your profile details, posts, comments, messages, and anything else you choose to share, including trading notes or results if you post them.
- When you contact us: the contents of your message and the address you sent it from.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and connection information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type.
- Usage information: pages viewed, time spent, links clicked, and the page or ad that referred you.
- Approximate location: country and region, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise location.
2.3 Information from others
Advertising platforms and analytics providers tell us how our ads and pages perform. Our payment processor confirms whether a payment succeeded. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
3. Why We Collect It
| What we do with it | What that involves |
|---|---|
| Provide the service | Create and maintain your account, give you access to content, respond to your questions |
| Process payments | Bill paid memberships, handle renewals and cancellations |
| Keep a record of agreement | Record which version of our terms you accepted and when, so both of us have a reliable record |
| Communicate with you | Send account and service messages, and marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time |
| Measure and improve | Understand which pages and ads work, and improve the site and the curriculum |
| Advertise | Measure whether our ads lead to signups and show relevant ads to people likely to be interested |
| Protect the service | Detect fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims |
| Comply with law | Meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations |
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it in these situations:
4.1 Companies that run parts of our service
These companies process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Website hosting — currently Netlify
- Storage of registration and consent records, and website analytics — currently Google
- Community platform — hosting member accounts, posts, and discussions. Our free community currently runs on Circle; our paid community runs on a separate platform.
- Email delivery — sending account and marketing emails, currently Kit
- Payment processing — processing payments for paid memberships, currently Stripe
We may change providers from time to time. The categories above describe how your information is used regardless of which provider performs the function. Providers named as “currently” are accurate as of the date at the top of this policy.
4.2 Advertising platforms
We advertise and measure performance using Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. To measure whether our ads work, understand how our pages are used, and show relevant ads, we share information about your activity on our website with these providers, and in some cases identifiers such as your name and email address.
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages, including mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, to help us improve them. It is configured to mask the contents of form fields, so information you type into a form — such as your name, email address, or payment details — is not captured in these recordings.
This is not a sale for money, but some state privacy laws describe this kind of sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time — see Section 7.
4.3 Other members
Anything you post in the community — posts, comments, your profile — is visible to other members. Please do not post information you would not want other members to see.
4.4 Legal and business situations
We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, if necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If ownership changes, we will notify you.
5. How Long We Keep It
| Type of information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile information | While your account is active, and for 30 days after you ask us to delete it |
| Records of terms acceptance | The duration of your membership plus seven (7) years, so that we can establish, exercise, or defend legal claims relating to your membership. These are retained even if you delete your account, and are then deleted. |
| Payment and transaction records | As required by tax and accounting law |
| Community posts | Until you or we remove them; posts may remain visible in others' conversations after your account closes |
| Messages you send us | Up to 2 years after the matter is resolved |
| Analytics and advertising data | Information collected by cookies and pixels — including IP address, device identifiers, and pages viewed — is retained in our Google Analytics property for 14 months and then deleted. Our advertising and analytics providers apply their own retention periods, which we do not control. |
When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except for the categories above that we are required or permitted to keep longer. We will tell you what we are keeping and why.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for three purposes: to make the site work (for example, keeping you signed in), to understand how the site is used, and to measure and target our advertising. The providers involved are named in Section 4.2.
Advertising and analytics technologies are active when you visit our site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
Opting out. The most reliable way to stop us sharing your information with advertising platforms is to email us at [email protected]. You may also use the industry opt-out tools at the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance, though those tools are cookie-based and do not cover information we send to advertising platforms directly from our own systems.
Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for them. This is separate from the opt-out described above, which we do honor.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- See what we have. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to the retention described in Section 5.
- Opt out of advertising sharing. Ask us to stop sharing your information with advertising platforms as described in Section 4.2.
- Unsubscribe from marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or ask us. You will still receive account and service messages.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. How We Protect Information
Our site and forms use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to member and consent records is limited to people who need it. The services we rely on — our hosting, storage, and payment providers — maintain their own security practices.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization.
9. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not offer them to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the information and close the account. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us.
10. Where Your Information Is Held
We operate in the United States and your information is stored and processed there. If you visit our site from another country, you do so on your own initiative.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will email registered members before it takes effect.
